Public Service Pamphlet

 

Directions – Based on the information learned and discussed in class, ask students to prepare a trifold public service pamphlet for high school students to raise awareness of eating disorders, suicide, addiction, school violence, cyber bullying, or one of the other issues we have talked about. Divide students into small groups of three or four. Ask each group to create its own pamphlet following this format: Take a piece of 8.5” Χ 11” paper and fold it into three parts, horizontally. On the cover, ask students to create a title for their publication. The cover should have a positive tone and picture, mentioning the issue but focusing on prevention. The inside of the pamphlet should open into three columns. In each column, have students include information under the following headings, replacing the parenthesis with your chosen issue:

 

Rubric –

1.)  Neatness – wording is clear, preferably typed, no mistakes, professional looking                                                                        ____15 points
