DAY 7
Objective – Students will determine whether you are making deposits or withdrawals from your personal bank account (PBA)
1.) Warmup – In your circle of friends, who demonstrates the best leadership ability? Share an example of when, where, or how you saw this friend’s leadership in action. (Have students make presentations – 10 min)
2.) Balloon Activity – The balloon represents a carefree teenager. Using masking tape, stick one or two coins to the balloon. Explain that the coins represent imperfections that weight participants down. Continue to add coins to the balloon until it can no longer float in the air. If students continue to dwell and hold on to their imperfections and mistakes, they will eventually no longer function like a normal teenager. (5 min)
3.) Lecture – Personal Bank Account (15 min)
4.) Split paper into four parts, but make a circle in the middle. List small acts of kindness in the corners and then discuss as a group. Choose one or two of the best to put in the middle. Then share w/class(15 min)
